To keep you abreast of our privacy practices, we are required by the Federal Government to provide you our Privacy Policy, at the inception of our relationship and annually thereafter, regarding our treatment of nonpublic personal information. This Privacy Policy will help you understand the information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it and when and if we share it.
Nonpublic personal information, as used in this notice, means nonpublic personal financial and nonpublic personal health information. Nonpublic personal financial information, as used in this notice, means information, other than health information that identifies an individual and is not otherwise available to the public. This includes personal financial information such as income, financial benefits, history, policy or claim information. Nonpublic personal health information, as used in this notice, means information that identifies an individual's health information such as medical records, lab results or underwriting results, or other information about illness, disability or injury.
Information We Collect
We may collect nonpublic personal information in a number of ways: information you provide us on our website or through a paper application; data related to your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others; and information we receive from consumer reporting agencies or otherwise with your consent. Information collected may include: personal information, such as your name, and address; financial information, such as your income and assets; health information (for life insurance purchasers), such as individual medical records, lab results, or other information about an illness, disability or injury; and information we collect to complete payment. We may also receive nonpublic personal information from agents, service providers, and partners providing marketing services.
Information We Disclose
We do not release nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone other than as permitted by law or as described in this policy. We may also disclose nonpublic personal financial information to government enforcement agencies as appropriate in connection with suspected terrorist or other criminal activities. We disclose nonpublic information to only those employees who need it to service your policy. We may disclose the information that we collect to our affiliated companies or third parties from time to time for marketing purposes and to enhance our products and services to better suit your needs. When identifying methods of improving our products and services or if we think a product may be of interest to you, we may arrange to extend select special offers of goods or services to you either directly or through affiliates. We won’t share your health data with anyone without your written consent.
Security
We always strive to maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and state regulations to protect your nonpublic personal information. Do Not Call Policy
Spectrum Direct is committed to honoring the requests of its current and prospective customers.
In support of this commitment and pursuant to regulations set forth by the Federal Communications Commission, we
have adopted the following policy. This policy statement is being provided to our customers and visitors to our internet website.
We maintain a record of the name and contact telephone number for consumers who
do not wish to be called. If you do not wish to receive sales calls from us, you can ask us to place your telephone number on our “Do Not Call” list. In compliance with federal and state laws, we will document your request
immediately. Please allow up to 30 days for your telephone number to be removed from any sales programs that are
currently underway.
- Your request can be in writing or by telephone, and must include at a minimum, your name and telephone number.
- If you have multiple telephone numbers, tell us all numbers that you want to be included.
Any e-mail communication to you confirming receipt of your “Do Not Call” request will not be deemed to have violated this policy.
Our “Do Not Call” records are maintained for at least five (5) years, so those consumers will not be burdened with periodic calls to renew a “Do Not Call” request.
If we solicit prospective customers, we also honor “Do Not Call” requests on behalf of consumers listed on the National Do Not Call Registry maintained by the Federal Trade Commission and various state agency lists. Many state “Do Not Call” regulations permit companies to contact their own customers even though they are on these “Do Not Call” lists. Therefore, if you are a customer, you may be contacted by us even though you are on a state or the national “Do Not Call” list. If you do not want to be contacted by us even though you are a customer, simply follow the steps above to be placed on our “Do Not Call” list and your request will be honored.
Being on our “Do Not Call” list means that you
will not receive any sales calls by anybody representing us. We may still
contact you, however, for non-solicitation purposes. This could include things
like billing and other service-related matters.
Any personnel involved with telemarketing and/or telephone solicitation with us are trained, informed and directed to comply with our “Do Not Call” policy. Consumers must inform us of any changes in name or telephone number if they move or wish to place a new telephone number on our “Do Not Call” list. This policy does not cover independent third parties, who may on their own initiative conduct telemarketing and/or telephone solicitation to solicit consumers for our products or services. If a consumer requests a copy of our “Do Not Call” policy, we will send a copy via U.S. Mail or electronic mail.
We intend to comply with all federal and state “Do Not Call” laws and regulations. If you have any questions or comments regarding our “Do Not Call” policy, you may contact us at:
Corporate Headquarters 27881 La Paz
Road Suite G-157 Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
